Print Design Works

I co-owned a mid-size Graphic Design and Print Studio for more than 15 years, so the only thing more vast than the logo work and identities I’ve created, is my work on all things that end up on paper. It’s DEFINITELY a learned skill that is losing some focus as we find ourselves in the mid-2020’s, and more often than not, we found than even the most talented new graphic designers coming out of school today, don’t seem (in many cases) to posess the knowledge on the difference between print and on-screen. More than once I’ve had to teach them the hard way.

SUGARDADDYS

Columbus confectionery gurus Sugardaddy’s had plenty of print design needs. Only problem was it always made me hungry.

CATHEDRAL / CHURCH

Always the most fun to do work on a brand that you own! When our only Alternative club in Columbus closed in 2001-ish, we decided to fill in the gap with a brand new night called CHURCH. Church was, for a while, Central Ohio’s ONLY goth and industrial dance night (and now just the biggest and best) …and continues to grow today! It’s a labor of love for sure and lots of fun. The Cathedral brand we named for our gigs that were in venues somewhat larger than the original Church nights. Occasionally we did nights in smaller venues, those were called Communion. We’re somewhat proud of our blasphemy (hehe). Though the Church nights have a bit more rigid branding regimen, the Cathedral nights were often theme-based on current pop-culturey things happening at the time that were of interest to our alternative crowd.

MORE PRINT STUFFS

Honestly this page could go on and on, but I think (hopefully) you get the picture? When it comes to designing things for print, more often than not my clients would say that I know what I’m doing. Above is a schmattering of stuff that I created for clients from postcards and mailers to show flyers, posters, menus and more!
