With so many brands out there trying to plug in to your brain port, it’s more important than ever to make your mark stand out. I’ve helped launch a LOT of brands, and every single one required an in-depth knowledge of the client, their product(s) and their personal style. Getting to know who you’re materializing a vision for is job ONE.
VGMX
Created this logo and rebrand back in 2011, for a small chain of video game reselling stores. They wanted something “super-heroy” so after about 10-12 itterations, we landed on what you see! This job ended up growing into doing in-store graphics, signage, packging and other special projects that helped tie the entire brand together and give them a VERY professional look.
Midtown Masonry Restoration
These guys are THE restorer of classic brick and Victorian homes in Central Ohio. They wanted a rebrand that communicated something “classic and old-school”. They also had a love (for some strange reason) of the way that labor union printing bugs looked. This one was actually a bunch easier to get through than others. Our vision was the saem almost from the beginning.
Eric James Hall
Identity created for an old college friend who was launching an international line of hair care products. He needed something super-professional, but wanted to retain his personality in the branding. He wanted a “rock star look”, “tattoo enthusiast friendly”, so we employed hand drawn elements (later vectorized), and bold rockstar-oriented colors (black and red are also personal faves). This one was FUN!
The Three-Legged Dog
Branding and Sign Design for startup pub on the main strip in the popular Lake Erie vacation spot of Port Clinton, OH. The owners had the building for a couple of years before they decided on a direction and came to me with an idea to have a custom backlit iron cutout-sign, so it could rust and have a natural industrial look. They LOVED the way the custom font and stencil-typestyle came out and went straight to world-famous Fortin Ironworks with the design to have them produce it!
DUBLIN BREWING CO.
Microbrewery located in Dublin Ohio needed everything from the ground up for their startup operation including overall branding and logo work for the company as well as several brewery brands and beers they would produce.
